    HEAD: VALLEY ART CENTER ANNOUNCES THE 53RD ANNUAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION WITH OVER $3500 IN PRIZES
    Featuring Ekphrastacy: Artists Talk + Poets Respond and a Talented Roster of Artists

    Chagrin Falls, OH – Valley Art Center is excited to present the 53rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition, showcasing an extraordinary variety of works by artists from across a 250-mile radius. The exhibition runs from November 8 to December 16, 2024, and will highlight the incredible talents of both emerging and established artists. Over $3,500 in prizes will be awarded to selected artists during the opening reception, making this one of the region's most anticipated art events of the year.
    Opening Reception:
    November 8, 2024 | 5:00 - 8:00 PM
    Join us for an evening celebrating the opening of this diverse exhibition. The reception is free and open to the public, where attendees can meet the artists and jurors while enjoying light refreshments. There will be a sensory-friendly quiet hour observed from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Award announcements will be made at 7:00 PM.

    This year's jury panel consists of three esteemed figures in the art world:

    • Liz Burgess – Former Owner/Manager of Ginko Gallery and artist, bringing her extensive gallery and creative expertise.
    • Christy Davis – Curator of Exhibitions at the Canton Museum of Art, known for her dynamic curatorial style.
    • Aaron D. Williams (aka Aawful Aaron) – Artist and Entrepreneur, whose multifaceted work explores social, cultural, and personal narratives.
    The exhibition is set to feature an impressive roster of accepted artists, whose works span a wide range of media and styles. The full list of artists includes:

    Ekphrastacy: Artists Talk + Poets Respond

    In partnership with Heights Arts, this popular event is returning for another year. "Ekphrastacy: Artists Talk + Poets Respond" pairs visual artists with poets who will respond to selected works with original poetry. This unique fusion of art and literature allows attendees to experience artwork from multiple perspectives. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the poetry begins at 7:00 PM. Admission is free, and this event is not to be missed!
