    Contract Days: 260 Days, Full-Time
    Salary: $59,305 - $75,213; based on experience and qualifications

    Responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant administration of the district’s payroll and benefits programs in accordance with district policies and procedures, collective agreements, Federal, State and local legislation and other relevant regulations. Supports a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on process efficiency and standardization.

    Job Duties:

    • Payroll & Benefits o Supervises and reviews all aspects of the district’s payroll and benefits system including, but not limited to, salaries, benefits, and leave balances – updates software for new and terminated staff
      • Confirm EMIS information as it pertains to payroll data (position codes and FTE's)
      • Reviews and determines accuracy of the district’s payroll and benefits, adjustments and employee entitlements.
      • Reviews and reconciles benefit billings and ensures remittance balance to liability accounts.
      • Ensures adequate documentation is maintained to ensure the consistent, continuous operation of system and procedures.
      • Process and pay Federal and Medicare, and State Taxes
      • Reconcile and report earnings to SERS and STRS
      • Advises benefit consultants of changes in staff assignments and benefit coverage
    • Internal Relationships
      • Issues communications and provides applicable information to staff with the administration protocol necessary to provide documentation to process timely and accurate payroll.
      • Work directly with the EMIS coordinator to maintain employee records for proper reporting.
      • Maintains open and effective communications, serving as a reliable information resource for staff. Knowledgeable with district polices and collective agreements.
      • Excellent working knowledge of current FMLA regulations as well as the privacy policies and administrative practices required to protect personal information 
    • Quarterly & Yearly Processes
      • Federal and State quarterly reports, each quarter
      • Fiscal year-end: STRS advance and yearly report, review payroll audit reports
      • Calendar year-end: Federal and State year-end balance. Balance W-2 reports
      • Communicate with American Fidelity, and prepare info for 1095 Cs/ACA Reporting. 
    •  Any/all other job duties required by the Treasurer
