VIRTUAL ZOOM CLASS: Marketing During COVID-19

Welcome to today’s (temporary!) world that has us all on edge. Especially small business owners. To adjust, let’s think through your marketing strategy together. People are online at this moment more than ever as we’re sheltering in place, so businesses don’t necessarily need to go dark on their social channels. But it certainly can’t be business as usual or a self-serving effort.  Instead, we need to think about what we’re all dealing with as human beings as we face these unheard-of changes. We don’t need a 30% offer from the Gap on jeans. Parents are now educators at home, people are losing their jobs, large investment portfolios are in question – all the things facing us emotionally and rationally. None of have ever gone through this, and god willing won’t again. But we’re all in this together and need to focus on what are we feeling and where brands can realistically help that adds genuine value. Brands and organizations need to think about their own expertise and how can they help their fellow neighbors, communities and so forth. Content and ideas that truly add value and resonate in today’s climate.
