The Chagrin Valley Chamber is excited to announce our 2nd  Annual Rubber Ducky Race! What is a Rubber Ducky Race, you ask?  A rubber ducky's journey down the river, under the bridge and over the falls to the finish line.  If your adoption paper's number matches the number on the bottom of the winning duck... you win!. To participate, adopt a duck or a flock and cheer on your ducks as they sail through the river to the finish line. One lucky duck will win the first place price of $1000.00, second place winner $500.00 and third place an amazing gift basket!! Will you adopt the lucky duck? Drone Ohio will be capturing the event live on their Facebook Page, so you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home! Aqua Doc will make sure that no duck is left behind and will be handling everything in the River with the assistance of the Chagrin Valley Fire Department.

Route: The ducks will sail through the river and over the falls to the finish line they go!

DUCK DECORATING CONTEST  $25.00
Purchase a "Show Duck" and decorate it anyway you would like! All decorated ducks will be voted online by the community and prizes will be awarded to the best decorated duck! 
Proceeds from each decorated duck entry fee will go to support our First Responders Week in September. Three winning categories: Best Chagrin Valley Chamber Member Duck,  Best Community Duck and Best Duckling Duck (children ages 2-12)
Once your duck is decorated, you will email a picture of your duck and it's name to the Chamber and it will be posted online with the ducks name only.

RACE RULES: The main race begins when approximately 3,000 rubber ducks are dumped into the Chagrin River. The first duck to cross the finish line will win $1000.00, second duck $500.00 and third duck a gift basket.
Each duck is the same exact size, color and weight. Approximately 3,000 rubber ducks participate in the race. The number on your Duck Adoption Certificate corresponds with the number on the bottom of the rubber duck entered into the race. The decision of the winning duck is up to the sole discretion of the Aqua Doc staff and is final. A specially created funnel ensures that only one duck at a time crosses the finish line. Winners must be 18 years of age or older and do not need to be present to win. Winners are contacted via email, following the races. Corresponding Duck Adoption Certificate may be required as verification before prizes are awarded. Prizes must be picked up within 10 days at the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce. There are no refunds.

DECORATING DUCK RULES: You must decorate the duck provided by the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce.  No other decorated duck will be accepted. All decorated duck pictures must be emailed to the Chagrin Valley Chamber to be included in the contest.  There are no refunds. Decorated ducks will be posted online and voted for by the public.  We ask that you name your duck and that will be the only name that will represent your duck online.  One vote per person, per duck. You must decorate the actual duck, additional decoration are permitted to accompany your duck.  The Chagrin Valley Chamber reserves the right to disqualify any decorated duck that they find disrespectful or inappropriate. The winning duck is the duck that receives the most online votes.  The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce will declare the winning duck in case of a online voted tie. Three winning categories: Best Chagrin Valley Chamber Member Duck and Best Community Duck and Best Duckling Duck (children decorated ages 2-10).  Decorating duck contest runs from May 7-14, 2021.The winners will be announced on social media and the winner will be emailed.  The decorating duck does not race.  It's a "show duck" only.
