Ohio State Tailgate & Hang on Sloopy Film

As a proud sponsor of the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival again this year, it was easy to select the Chamber’s sponsored film and in true Chamber fashion we have created a fantastic event around our selection. Hang on Sloopy: The Movie is our selection so of course we have to have a traditional OHIO STATE TAILGATE!!  We’ll be grilling hot dogs and kielbasa, offering sides and beer and are excited to announce that there will be a special performance from the Ohio State Alumni band!  We also have 2 tickets to OSU game (Oct. 29 vs. Northwestern) and will be awarding them to the best OSU fan/spirit.  So make sure you come in your tailgate and OSU gear!!  As if all of that was not enough… after the tailgate you are invited to walk next door to the Chagrin Falls Intermediate and enjoy the debut of the film Hang on Sloopy: The Movie.Scheduled to appear: Directed by Brian Grady and Dave Whinham

The song was a huge hit that became the unofficial anthem of Ohio. Decades later it’s still blasted at Ohio State football games to push the Buckeyes to victory.  

The Chagrin Documentary Film Festival starts Wednesday, Oct. 5 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 9.  The Festival is a five day celebration of the art of documentary film, at venues in and around the century village of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This inspiring event draws audiences from all over Northeast Ohio, the US and the world to experience documentary films and the compelling art and culture they highlight.
