Kenston HS INCubatoredu Pitch Night

We are excited to extend an invitation to you for our upcoming Entrepreneurship Pitch Night, showcasing nine student groups from our business course titled INCubatoredu@KHS. The night will represent a culmination of the course, where innovative minds and aspiring entrepreneurs come together. Student groups have been challenged to pitch and showcase their creative designs of MVPs (Minimum Viable Products and/or Services) to business advisors for a potential investment opportunity. 
 

Location: Kenston High School -Robert A. Lee Auditorium 
 

We are grateful for the community's support and participation throughout the implementation phases of the program. We are looking for more businesses and corporations to be involved. The partnership with the school brings value to any hiring process of a business. KHS students are benefiting from the real life experience they are receiving from INCubatoredu as well as other applicable courses we offer in the business pathway. These students will be strong candidates for hire in the future for any business within our local community. 
 

We invite you to witness the creative work of our student entrepreneurs. The class is two-thirds through the curriculum and we hear only positive feedback directly from the voices of the students, teachers, and business mentors. Each group, paired with a mentor from our local business community, has learned effective entrepreneurship skills while embracing the guidance and advice from outside business experts. Experiential learning is a hands-on instructional approach and forces students to 'learn by discovery and action'. This instructional method thoroughly engages students while shaping them into true entrepreneurs.

INCubator Pitch Night is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, potential investors, and industry experts. Whether you have a startup in its early stages or a well-established business seeking collaboration, this event is designed to foster networking, collaboration, and growth within the entrepreneurial community. 
 

Pitch Night also presents an opportunity for businesses to contribute financially back to their school-community. INCubatoredu@KHS is asking for contributions to help sustain the program in a few different areas:

• MVP material and supplies (used by students to support their product

during the design phase of the business plan)

(creating a true business learning environment for students)

• Scholarship Awards (gifts awarded to student groups on Pitch Night and used to support future steps to establish a true LLC)

If you are interested in contributing financially to the INCubatoredu@KHS, you may reply to this email and describe how you would like your funds to be allocated. Please know that all contributions are deposited through Kenston Foundation, a separate 501 (c3) non-profit corporation, which provides an avenue for individuals and corporate donors to support academic programs with tax deductible gifts.
 

Lastly, we are finalizing our panel of advisors for Pitch Night. We are in need of three to five community business members for this role. Advisors would be responsible to provide constructive feedback and ask the student groups questions regarding their product and goals. Advisors would also select the top teams at the end of Pitch Night who may receive scholarship awards. Your expertise and guidance would greatly benefit our students and make a significant impact on their learning journey.
