2025 Rubber Ducky Race over the Falls!

The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that DUCKS ARE NOW ON SALE for our 5th Annual Rubber Ducky Race, happening Saturday, May 10th! 💦

What is a Rubber Ducky Race, you ask?  A rubber ducky's journey down the river, under the bridge and over the falls to the finish line.  If your adoption paper's number matches the number on the bottom of the winning duck... you win!

To participate, adopt a duck or a flock and cheer on your ducks as they sail through the river to the finish line. One lucky duck will win the first place price of $1000.00, second place winner $500.00 and third place an amazing gift basket!! Don't miss out on the chance to adopt one of our 4,000 racing ducks for the event. Will you adopt the lucky duck? 

AQUA DOC will make sure that no duck is left behind and will be handling everything in the River with the assistance of the Chagrin Valley Fire Department.

Some fine print:
RACE RULES: The main race begins when approximately 4,000 rubber ducks are released into the Chagrin River. The first duck to cross the finish line wins $1,000, the second duck wins $500, and the third duck wins an amazing gift basket. Each duck is the same exact size, color, and weight, and the number on your Duck Adoption Certificate corresponds with the number on the bottom of the duck entered into the race. The decision of the winning duck is at the sole discretion of the AQUA DOC staff and is final. Winners must be 18 years or older and do not need to be present to win. Winners will be contacted via email after the race, and the corresponding Duck Adoption Certificate may be required for verification before prizes are awarded. Prizes must be picked up within 10 days at the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce. No refunds or exchanges.

New this year, participants have the option to purchase a Lucky Duck for an additional $25.00, which must be bought in addition to regular ducks. Lucky Ducks are a separately numbered group, and if a Lucky Duck is the first duck to cross the finish line, the first place prize doubles from $1,000 to $2,000. This bonus applies only to the first place winner. Lucky Ducks do not replace regular ducks but serve as an additional chance to win. The same race rules apply to Lucky Ducks, and the final decision rests with the AQUA DOC staff.
